Is the Star Citizen data free?

Yes. All ship, component and trade data is free and always will be — it comes from the game and the community. The subscription pays for the Companion overlay that delivers it live in your cockpit, not for the data.

Will this get me banned?

No. H.U.D Manager is a non-invasive overlay. It never reads game memory or modifies game files — it only reads the public Game.log that Star Citizen already writes, and draws windows on top of your screen.

What do I need to run it?

Windows 10 or 11, Star Citizen, and a free pilot account. The installer is ~257 MB and sets up in about 30 seconds.

Can I use it on more than one PC?

Yes. One pilot account works on your desktop, laptop and the web tools — your loadouts and fleet sync everywhere automatically.

How does the free trial work?

Create your pilot account and you get 14 days of full access, no charge. Cancel before it ends and you pay nothing. After that it’s $1.99 your first month, then $2.99/month — or $24.99/year.

Do I have to pay to use the web tools?

No. The browser tools — Loadout Bay, trade routes, Combat Lab and more — are completely free. The subscription is only for the desktop overlay that floats them over your game.
